Phillip Bartholomew France
Of South Park; age 80; passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
Phil was born in Carnegie, PA on October 17, 1941; son of the late Walter R and Mary S France. He was a Vietnam War Era Veteran, serving with the Army in South Korea. Phil is a graduate of Gannon University, Erie, PA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. For thirty years he was employed in Manufacturing Material Management. He is certified (CPIM), with a lifetime designation in production and inventory control management by APICS, the Association for Operations Management. He is a retiree from Lord Corporation, Erie, PA. Phil’s favorite past time was running, which he did every morning, no matter what the weather, five miles along Corrigan Drive in South Park. He was the devoted husband of the late Kathleen, married in 1968; loving father of Christine Schonbachler and Jennifer(Tom) Coates; grandfather of Tyler and Zachary Schonbachler, and Caden and Katelyn Coates; brother of George France and the late Walter A France and Bernadette M Sadler. Family and Friends will be received Sunday, September 25th, from 11AM – 2 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park. Immediately following the visitation on Sunday, the celebration of his life will continue at his daughter, Jennifer’s residence. Friends and family are invited to stop by. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, 10:30 AM at St. Louise de Marillac Church. Burial will follow for immediate family only, at St. Vincent Cemetery in Latrobe.
