Of Bethel Park; age 87; passed away peacefully with her family at her side

on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Phyllis was the daughter of the late Cecil Kay Scott and

Doris Scott Lemley; beloved wife of the late G. Hugh Criss; loving mother of

Carolyn Criss (Howard) Wetzler, the late Eric Hugh Criss, Jennifer Criss

(Doug) Jamison and Cathlene Criss (Blane) Shearon; devoted

grandmother of Elana Wetzler, Robert Wetzler, Sarah Jamison, Clark

Jamison, Gwenyth Shearon and Keira Shearon; sister of Cecil Kay Scott,

and Ruth Lemley Robinson.

Phyllis was born in Salem, Ohio. She cherished her husband, children and

grandchildren dearly. She thrived on all the special family times they shared

together.

Phyllis had been an executive secretary for the Charms Candy Company,

Columbia Gas of Ohio, and later in life, Redshaw, Inc. and Development

Dimensions International (DDI).

She was an enthusiastic Girl Scout leader for many years. She led her girls

in camping adventures, crafts and singing.

Phyllis loved camping with her family, especially at Myrtle Beach. She loved

to look at the ocean.

She traveled around the world with her husband. They traveled across the

United States and visited Hawaii, Mexico, Thailand, France and Australia.

Phyllis was proud of her Norwegian heritage and always made her family’s traditional Norwegian bread, vedekaka, for the holidays.  

Family and friends will be received from 11 am - 1 pm on Thursday,

January 20, at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library

Rd., Bethel Park, PA 15102. Funeral services will held at 1 pm. Burial will

follow at Bethel Cemetery.

Donations can be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church, 2999 Bethel

Church Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102 or the Leukemia & Lymphoma

Society or the CMT Research Foundation.
