Regis F. Heilman, 96, of Bethel Park, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. He was a son of the late Joseph and Margaret Hughes Heilman.
Beloved husband of 69 years to June (Dee) Pascoe Heilman; loving father to Daniel (Yvonne) Heilman, Laurel Heilman, and Gregory (Carol) Heilman; grandfather to Brooke, Drew, and Evan Heilman. Also surviving is a sister, Peggy Castle, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Regis is preceded in death by a brother, Bill (the late Mary Lou) Heilman.
He graduated from Westinghouse High School in 1945.
Immediately following his graduation, Regis served in the United States Army Airforce, where he was stationed in Berlin, Germany.
He worked at General Motors Fisher Body for 38 years as a Senior Clerk.
Regis’s passion was racket sports, especially tennis, platform tennis, and at 88 years old started his pickleball career. He loved college football, the Deer Valley YMCA Camp, and at the South Park Tennis Scene was known as the MVP, “Most Vocal Player.”
Family and friends will gather at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Road, Bethel Park, on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Internment will follow immediately at Jefferson Memorial Park, where a Blessing Service and Military Honors will be accorded.
