Age 92, of Bethel Park, on Monday, September 20, 2021.  Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Havran; loving mother of Miriam (Gerry) Priano and Margaret Havran (Ronald Winkler); grandmother of Thomas (Melinda) Priano, Andrew (Shelby) Priano and Peter (Amanda) Priano; proud great-grandmother of Benjamin, Caleb, Aaron, Samuel, David and Noah Priano.  Rita was born and raised in Homestead, PA.  In 1966, Rita was hired as the first secretary for The Pathfinder School, in Bethel Park, which serves students with disabling conditions.  She retired in 1993 but continued to serve as board secretary of the South Central Area Special Schools Committee, the consortium of the districts responsible for the maintenance of Pathfinder.  She retired from that position in 2017 at the age of 88.  Rita enjoyed old movies, sewing, and was an avid reader, obtaining her first library card from the Carnegie Library in Oakland at an early age.  She enthusiastically followed current events and was a lifelong subscriber to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Pittsburgh Press.  She had a deep admiration and appreciation for the United States Armed Forces.  Friends will be received on Thursday, September 23rd from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd. Bethel Park, PA 15102.  Please plan to wear a mask when visiting.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, September 24th in St.  Thomas More Church at 10 AM.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Rita’s favorite charity.  www.stjude.org
