Of South Park; age 73; went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2022; son of the late Joe and Betty Overend; beloved husband of Susie(Smyth) Overend; loving father of Gretchen(Steve) Sobotka, Amanda(Matthew) Turnbull; stepfather of Andrew(Susanne) Lafferty, Matthew(Jill) Lafferty and Ross(Shawna) Lafferty; cherished grandfather of Haley Resosky, Drew Lafferty, Austin Lafferty, Johnny Resosky, Owen Lafferty, Autumn Turnbull, Mady Lafferty, CJ Turnbull, Ashton Lafferty, Ethan Sobotka, Jackson Lafferty, Julian Lafferty and Josephine Lafferty: brother of David(Elaine) Overend, Carol(Pete) Drake, Candy(Rick) Hodgson and the late Reed(survived by his wife, Michelle) Overend; also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Bob was part owner of Overend & Krill of Finleyville where he worked for 45 years. He was an active member of Peters Creek Baptist Church. He was an avid runner, he ran The Great Race for 35 years and he enjoyed jogging in South Park and on the Montour Trail.  He was truly a selfless man whose greatest joy was in the Lord.   His passion and blessing was his family who he would do anything for.  A memorial service will be held at Peters Creek Baptist Church, Saturday April 23 at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Peters Creek Baptist Creek Church, 6300 Library Rd.
