It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our father, Robert “Woody” F. Woodburn, who left us peacefully on August 3, 2024, after a beautifully lived life. Full of love, laughter, and resilience, he touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born on November 26, 1936, to the late Lillian Jones. He graduated from Langley High School and went on to enlist in the United States Army, where he was stationed and served at Fort Meade and Fort Knox.
Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Robert built a very successful career as a sales executive with Gates Rubber Company and Alberto-Culver Manufacturing Company. He then went on to work as an Automotive Sales Manager for several European automotive dealerships.
Robert married his beloved wife, Jacqueline (Filler), on June 30, 1962, and they spent their years building a beautiful life together until her passing on January 20, 2021.
Devoted father to Michelle Meronoff, Robyn (Scott) Langlois, and Robert Woodburn. Dedicated grandfather to Lauren and Austin Meronoff, Meghan and Caitlyn Langlois, and Jack Woodburn. Brother to Beverly, Rosalie, and the late Joseph.
He loved traveling with his wife Jacqueline and their family. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and going to the casino. Robert was also an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.
A gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 4-8pm at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd, Bethel Park, where a Blessing Service will be offered the following day, on August 8, 2024, at 1:30pm.
Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, where military honors will be accorded.
Family and friends are invited to Al’s Café, 425 McMurray Rd, Bethel Park, at 3:30pm directly following our time at the cemetery, to honor and celebrate the lives of both Robert and Jacqueline Woodburn.
