It is with great sadness that the family of Ryan J. Gates, 41, announces his unexpected passing in Woodlands, TX, where he resided.
Ryan was born in Bethel Park, PA, on April 20, 1983, to Cynthia and the late Ted Gates.
He graduated from Bethel Park High School in 2002. He continued his education at the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Maintenance Science from Embry-Riddle University in Florida, and then a Master of Business Administration from Sam Houston University in Texas.
He was currently employed by Thales Avionics at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
Ryan pursued a large variety of interests and hobbies over the years, including the completion of multiple Ironman triathlons of which he was most proud.
He is survived by his mother, Cindy, and siblings, Victor (Jenna and Reagan), Drew, Leah, Alex and Teddy, plus many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. His beloved dogs, Lily & Maggie will greatly miss his devotion.
Ryan is preceded in death by his father, Ted, grandparents Ted and Valerie Gates of Kirwan Heights, and Hilda and Hurley Baylor of Danville.
Memorial services will be private at a future date.
