Of Bethel Park; age 80; passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2022; beloved husband of 56 years to Susan G. Hughes; loving father of Cynthia(Bruce) Nelson, Alicia(Frank) Yeboah-Kodie and Mark(Melissa) Hughes; grandfather of Caroline, Ben and Sarah Nelson, Grace, Lauren, Matthew and Elizabeth Yeboah-Kodie, Anthony, Madelyn and Justin Hughes; brother of Mary Lou Tilley, Virginia O’Hara and the late George Hughes; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sy was an Army veteran, he worked for the Pontiac Division of General Motors for over 30 years. Services are private.
