Thomas J. Bauernfeind
Age 69 of Bethel Park, formerly of Finleyville passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020. Beloved husband of 50 years to Janice D. Bauernfeind (Katavitch); loving father of Christopher (Kimberly) and Thomas (Kirsten) Bauernfeind; proud grandpap of Addison Bauernfeind; brother of Kenneth (Mimi) and the late Donna Bauernfeind. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Bauernfeind. Tom grew up in Mt. Oliver with his siblings. He spent his career as a general machinist working for Boise Cascade and Georgia-Pacific and later as a life insurance salesman for Western & Southern Insurance Company. Tom’s love was his wife and his family, volunteering as soccer and little league coach when his son’s played. He was a huge football & sports fan, rooting for the Steelers, WVU, Pirates and Dodgers. He enjoyed hunting and target shooting as well as collecting stamps and coins. Tom owned a Corvette and liked going to car shows to look at and enjoy other antique and classic cars. He will be dearly missed by those that loved him.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 11th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd. Bethel Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, November 12th, 10:30 A.M. at St. Louise de Marillac Church. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
