Thomas J. Cummings
Of South Park; age 96; passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2024; son of the late Charles S. and Loretta (McDonald) Cummings; beloved husband of 67 years to the late Patricia A.(McCarthy) Cummings; loving father of Dan (Kris) Cummings, Mike (Anita) Cummings, Bob (Diana) Cummings, Mary Beth (Dave) Werner, Connie (Joel) Robinson, Tom Cummings, Mark (Molly) Cummings, Sandy (Al) Falcione and Matt (Nancy) Cummings; brother of William Cummings, Rosemarie Becker, the late Charles Cummings and Margaret “Marnie” Rennie; also survived by 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Tom was a Navy Veteran who served during WWII, he retired 33 years ago after a long career with Bell Telephone/Verizon. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, and card player. Tom was a man of great faith, reflected in his years of volunteerism for the Catholic Church and Meals on Wheels. He thoroughly enjoyed teaching, playing, and demonstrating his mastery of the card game 66 to his children and grandchildren. Tom was the kind of guy who knew someone anywhere he went and made friends easily. Family and friends will be received on Saturday. January 20th from 6-8 PM and Sunday, January 21st from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, January 22nd, 10:30 AM at St. Joan of Arc Church, South Park. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
