William “Bill” M. Densmore, 87, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2023. He was the loving husband of Mary Jo (Reinbold) Densmore for 59 years; dedicated and devoted father of Christine (Roy) Speicher and Michael (Leslie) Densmore; and amazing Pap to Adam, Ryan, Erin, Justin, and Micayla. He is also survived by two brothers, David (Carol) and Daniel (Cheryl) Densmore.
He was a man of strong faith, and it showed in his selflessness towards others and dedication to the Catholic faith.
He loved watching sports and coaching his children in softball and basketball. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed planning trips, all centered around golf.
He was a very proud Pap. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and he loved attending their sporting events and activities. He was very involved in every aspect of his family, and nothing made him happier than spending time together.
Bill attended St. Basil’s High School and Gannon College, where he played basketball.
He followed in his father’s foot steps throughout his banking career, retiring from the Board of Directors of Iron and Glass Bank.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gertrude Densmore; and brother, Martin (Kris) Densmore.
Family and friends will gather at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Road, Bethel Park, on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 6-8 p.m., and Thursday February 2, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m., at St. Valentine – Our Lady of Hope, in Bethel Park on Friday, February 3, 2023.
Internment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurray.
