Age 94, of Bethel Park, born February 6, 1924 in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018. Beloved wife of 72 years to Edward Hettich; daughter of the late Victoria and Peter Selzda; loving mother of Edward (Valeria) Hettich, Jr. and Betty (Dan) Huebert; proud grandmother of Jason (Kathy) Hettich, Douglas (Casey) Hettich, Kelly (Derek) Pollard and the late Amanda Huebert; great-grandmother of Alexis Hettich. Upon graduating from high school, she was employed by McGraw Hill Publishing Co. in New York City until her marriage to Edward in September of 1945. She and her husband were avid participants at Field Archery Tournaments throughout NY, CT and NJ. They both achieved Expert Class and were awarded many trophies. She held the office of Secretary-Treasurer for the Tel-Star Bowmen. After receiving vocal training in NY, she became a private voice teacher and pursued her love for singing. She was a soloist in the Pleasantville, NY Oratorio Group and a 20 year choir member and soloist at Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne, NY. Upon moving to Bethel Park in 1969, she became a member of St. Valentine Church Choir for 20 years. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd. Bethel Park. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, 10 am, at St. Valentine Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
