We will miss John. He always had a lot to say at Family Reunions. One time, when my parents were newly married, JHohn Propped up the back wheels of th car so the car would not move. The tires spun when they attempted to drive it. He did the same thing again to my Sister's car, just after their wedding in Urbana ILin 1976.

He was an avid fan of Pitt6sburgh Pirates and other sports teams. He was almost laet to a baseball game, and drove my Father Dick to the gam, winding through store parking lots to avoid long-red traffic lights. They just barely made the game but got there. Traffic is bad in some of the hillier areas of Pittsburgh. Driving downtown meant going through the Liberty or Fort Pitt tunnels, often congested.

He was loyal to Westinghouse, his long term employer. If he had another make of appliances, such os General Electric, it was "Tis model is 'pardon the expression' G. E>"

He was a Classical music Fan. Early on, before they had a Television, they had a console model Westinghouse HI-FI, with AM and FM radio, often tuned to WQED, and had a record player. They went to many Pittsburgh Symphony concerts in Heinz Hall downtown.

They had a good garden at hoe, sometimes with human hair to ward off deer and other beasts. They children enojyed the horses they were able to have on their property.

John and Martha later had to downsize when kids were gone. But it is great that they lived as long s they did. We will Miss John.
