Edward G.
Of Bethel Park; age 84; peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Husband, Father, Pap, Brother, Uncle, military veteran, and the truest of Heroes. Teaching us that God and family come first and hard work of any kind sure beats "diggin' ditches". The backbone of our entire family, his influence, love, life lessons, and wisdom has made all of us the best sons, daughters, fathers, and mothers we could possibly be. A 20 year Veteran of the US Navy, spanning from the Korean thru Vietnam War, he was the proudest of Americans, forever standing his tallest for his flag and country. Loving husband to Patricia, father to Elizabeth Angelici (Calvin Hodder), Michael (Rebecca), Robert (Teresa), Grandfather to Adam (Jennifer), Patrick, Blake Hodder, Ryan (Tabitha), Serena (Rich), Joshua, Madison, Robert, and Kara, Great Grandfather to Jackson (and his late twin brother Noah), Aliyah, Andrew, Victoria, Amelia, RJ, and Shelby. Brother to his twin sister Dolly, preceded in death by siblings Robert and Dorothy. In retirement Ed enjoyed time with family, hunting, and entering his beagles in field trials. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and all that knew him. Family and friends will be received Monday 2-8 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, 11 AM at St. Anne’s Church, Castle Shannon. Burial will follow at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full Military Honors.
