On Thursday, June 11, 2015; age 87; a resident at Washington Commons in Bridgeville, formerly of Bethel Park.  He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Gimbrone Garbus, his mother Mary Wachter, his father George Garbus, Sr., his brother Michael Garbus, and his sister Anna Garbus.  Beloved Father of Diane Lally and her late husband John, Glenn Garbus,  Laura Yurechko and her husband John; cherished brother of Mary Schack and her husband Arthur.  George was a US Army Veteran and an excellent commercial artist.  He enjoyed landscaping, gardening and in his younger years was an accomplished weight lifter and  loved to dance.  Even when he succumbed to dementia, he still enjoyed tapping his toes to polka music.  Friends will be received Monday, June 15 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Paul L Henney Memorial Chapel, 5570 Library Rd, Bethel Park.  Mass of Christian burial will be offered Tuesday, June 16 in St. Joan of Arc Church, South Park at 10 AM.  Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bethel Park.
