Michael J. Doherty

Michael J. Doherty, 62, of Bethel Park, PA, passed in the presence of family on Saturday, March 19, 2016. He was born on May 16, 1953, to the late Walter and Anne Marie Doherty. He was preceded in death by his brother, W. Sean Doherty, and is survived by his wife Sharon, and children Laura of Elkridge MD, Kevin, and Molly. He is also survived by his sisters: Barbara Lillard of Virginia Beach VA, Christine Fisher of Berwyn PA, M. Denise Simonik of Solon OH, and Margaret Lynch of Haddonfield NJ. His passion for sports was only transcended by the love for his family and pride in his children. The 14-year survivor of a heart transplant, his wit and resilience will be cherished. His life will be celebrated Tuesday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Paul L. Henney Memorial Chapel, 5570 Library Rd, Bethel Park where a memorial service will be held Wednesday, 11 AM.
